ROLDAN publishes and operates the website accessible at the URL www.roldan.fr (hereinafter referred to as “the WEBSITE”), which is designed to present the company’s different ranges and products.
In the course of its operation of the WEBSITE, ROLDAN undertakes to implement appropriate measures to ensure its compliance with the principles of the amended French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as well as European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
For the purpose of ROLDAN-USER relations, the personal data controller for the WEBSITE is:
ROLDAN, a simplified joint stock company with registered capital of €10,986,140.59, located at 8 avenue St Granier, Saint Martin du Touch BP 63135 - 31026 Toulouse Cedex 3, France, and registered with the Trade and Companies Register (RCS) under number 425 007564.
As part of its operation of the WEBSITE, ROLDAN may collect personal data about the USERS. Those data will be processed in accordance with the purposes described in Article 3 of this Privacy Policy.
Regardless of how the data are collected, ROLDAN undertakes to inform the USER of the purposes of the processing, the required or optional nature of the requested information, any consequences to the USER if a response is not provided, the recipients of the data, the existence of the USER’s right to access, rectify or object to the processing of the USER’s personal data and how to exercise those rights.
The data which may be collected and processed by ROLDAN for the purposes described in Article 3 of this Privacy Policy concern:
3. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING
These different data are collected in order to ensure:
- That the WEBSITE functions properly;
- Order delivery;
- Management of the various requests submitted via the contact form;
- Management of requests in relation to the right to access, rectify and object to the processing of personal data by ROLDAN;
- The production of statistics used to improve the performance of the WEBSITE.
ROLDAN may be required to communicate those data for legal and/or regulatory reasons.
4. DATA STORAGE PERIOD
ROLDAN undertakes to store the collected data in a form which makes it possible to identify the data subjects for a period not to exceed the period necessary for the purposes for which they are collected and processed.
Consequently, USERS’ personal data may not be stored for longer than the time needed to manage the business relationship, with the exception of certain data archived in accordance with current provisions (namely those stipulated by the French Code of Commerce, Civil Code and Consumer Code), where their storage is necessary to establishing proof of a right or a contract or in order to comply with a legal obligation.
As an exception, the USERS’ identification data will be stored:
- Up to three (3) years after the end of the business relationship; or
- Up to three (3) years after their collection by ROLDAN or after the last contact from a prospective client;
- At the end of those three (3) years, ROLDAN may contact those USERS to determine whether or not they wish to continue to receive special offers from ROLDAN. In the absence of a positive response on their part, their data will be deleted or archived, in accordance with current legal provisions.
5. USER RIGHTS
As a reminder, USERS whose personal data are processed have the right to access, rectify and object to the processing of their personal data, pursuant to Articles 38 et seq. of the amended French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 and to European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
Under certain conditions, USERS may also have the right to have their data erased and to data portability. In addition, pursuant to the French Digital Republic Act No. 2016-1321 of 7 October 2016, USERS have the possibility of issuing instructions for how to handle their personal data in the event of their death.
Those rights may be exercised by means of a request sent to the address of ROLDAN’s head offices or by email to DPO@cargo-services.fr, providing proof of the USER’s identity and of having legitimate reasons for the request, if required by law.
In the event of communication of copies of identification documents, they will be stored for one (1) year in the case of data collection for the purpose of verifying the identity of a USER wishing to exercise the right to access or rectify personal data and for three (3) years in the case of data collection for the purpose of verifying the identity of a USER wishing to exercise the right to object. The same will apply to any other data collected at the time of a USER’S exercise of the right to object.
6. DATA RECIPIENTS
ROLDAN may need to communicate personal data collected via the WEBSITE to its internal departments, subcontractors or business partners performing the following services, in particular:
- Creation of advertising content;
- Conduct of commercial operations;
- Monitoring of business relationships with the USERS;
- Management of the WEBSITE’s hosting and maintenance services;
- Audits of ROLDAN’s business (departments in charge of internal audit procedures, etc.).
During the fulfilment of the purposes listed above, some data could be transferred to different entities within ROLDAN’s group which have a legitimate interest in accessing those data.
ROLDAN also reserves the right to transmit the personal data collected from the WEBSITE in order to satisfy its legal obligations, particularly if required to do so by means of a court order.
7. LOGIN DATA AND COOKIES
ROLDAN uses login data (date, time, IP address, USER’s computer protocol, pages viewed) and cookies (small files stored on the USER’s computer), primarily to identify the USER, memorize what the USER has viewed and then produce audience metrics and statistics for the WEBSITE, namely in respect of page views.
This WEBSITE uses functional and technical cookies, most of which are used to improve the navigation experience. They send information to the WEBSITE and to the USER’s browser: memorizing information about a form (identifier and address) and device display preferences (language and resolution) and implementing security measures like session expiration, etc.
By default, browser software accepts cookies from websites. However, users remain in control of the installation of those cookies, with the possibility of configuring browsers to:
- Accept or reject cookies on the WEBSITE;
- Systematically reject all cookies;
- Ask for consent for each cookie encountered while browsing the Internet.

If a USER chooses to block the WEBSITE’s cookies, some of the WEBSITE’s features and simplified navigation may be deactivated.
In any case the cookies stored on a device, or any similar elements used to identify USERS for statistical or audience metrics purposes will have a lifespan limited to a maximum of 13 months, which period will not be extended automatically when the USER returns to the WEBSITE. Beyond that time, the raw traffic data associated with an identifier will either be deleted or anonymized.
8. SECURITY
ROLDAN takes every necessary precaution, in view of the nature of the data and the risks posed by their processing, to preserve data security and, in particular, to prevent the data from being altered, damaged, or accessed by unauthorized third parties.
